Dalit History Month - Telling our History

Freedom lies in the ability to tell the story of our ancestors. This is true of no problem more than Caste Apartheid. Core to Caste is the idea that knowledge is solely trade of upper Castes. To address this, we founded Dalit History Month- the first digital history project in South Asia. In this session, we learn how Dalits, rejected being subjects in oppressors’ narratives and how media made the first community-sourced history possible after 3000 years of violent exclusion from knowledge.
